One of my favorite MLP fanfic's "Bride of Discord" by 
based on the story Beauty and and Bride of the Lindorm King.
Story-In an alternate Twist Discord was never turned to stone in part.2 of Return of Harmony. He returns to wreak havic on Equestria and offers to stop if some pony will be his bride, Fluttershy goes with Discord and slowly they start to fall in love. meanwhile Applejack is secretly in love with Spike and struggles to decide whether to continue hiding her true feelings or tell him how she truly feels.
A tail of two beauties and two beasts, though I'm not a fan of the AppleSpike romance, I do like Fluttercord.
